Message from President Marge Imfeld

April showers bring May flowers as I sit here at my computer listening to the pattering on the pavement outside. This is a beautiful time of the year.

Everything is so fresh and vibrant in color… “God at work!”

And our staff at the Chamber has not slowed down at all. Today is our first evening Mixer at Cornerstone Subdivision, hosted by owner and developer Mark Wilbur. Our Ambassadors have been busily planning Morning Mixers which have been very well attended (anywhere from 30 – 50 attendees) and now one for those who cannot make the morning. I look forward to visiting with membership over a nice glass of wine, thanks Mark and our Ambassadors.

Please keep May 24th available for a Quarterly Membership Luncheon with guest speaker Rex Osborne. This first one will be hosted by your Board of

Directors as a membership benefit. Invitations are in the mail. One of my goals this year was to bring educational opportunities to our membership to help grow their businesses. Please join us at Spring Creek Golf and Country Club on the 24th of May. Great chance to see the new Club House too! RSVP to the

Chamber office.

Chamber is also working alongside the 4th of July Committee raising $30,000 to support our 4th of July Fireworks Display 2012. We are again planning for a fun evening at Ripon Elementary with a “Hometown Parade”, kid games,

vendors, musical entertainment, and lots more. Come spend a fun 4th of July in your hometown of Ripon. Contributions are greatly appreciated. I believe we have risen about half the funds needed. Contact Dean Uecker at 599-6339 to make your contributions.

Don’t forget to fill out your ballots for our 2012-2014 Board of Directors. After maybe “too many” years, I will be stepping down, leaving the leadership of the Chamber, but more of that next month. With that, I will say until next, make it a great business month….
