In response to last year’s historic volume of invasive Aedes aegypti mosquitoes in your community, our District is hosting an OPEN HOUSE in your city to showcase our comprehensive vector surveillance and mosquito control efforts to suppress this mosquito species’ population.
This forum is fully intended to address any questions or concerns pertaining to the scope of this pilot program and our operations.
The main objective is to familiarize the public with our intended use of emerging and novel NON-CHEMICAL techniques. Furthermore, we will present the areas where we deem deploying this method to be most effective, as well as share information on why the City of Ripon was chosen first. We will also demonstrate how the program works and share the logistics that will be implemented to provide optimal service in this campaign.
In accordance with our District’s mission statement, we strive to provide the residents of San Joaquin County “…the most advanced administrative and operational technology available.”
We will have our key State-certified Staff members on hand to include our Mosquito Control Technicians, Regional Supervisors, Operations Superintendent, Lab personnel, as well as display several exhibits, tools and District vehicles we will utilize to conduct this program to continually provide the residents of this county PROTECTION THROUGH PREVENTION.
